Dr. Edward Schwartzenburg
Dr. Edward Schwartzenburg graduated from LSU Health Science Center in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1991. He completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology internship and residency through Saint Joseph's Hospital in Houston, Texas. His training included gynecological oncology rotations at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston and obstetrics and gynecology rotations at University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin, Texas. He received training in general obstetrics and gynecology as well as advanced surgical and infertility treatments. Dr. Schwartzenburg specializes in minimally invasive surgeries including Novasure endometrial ablation and DaVinci robotic-assisted hysterectomy. He has held many leadership positions at Woman's Hospital including Chief of Obstetrics, Chief of Staff, and nine years on the Board of Directors and as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Dr. Schwartzenburg is married to Dr. Cindy Schwartzenburg, a local anesthesiologist. They have three children. They enjoy traveling together as a family and boating in Pensacola, Florida. Dr. Schwartzenburg's other passion involves importing and selling Hungarian wines. He is the owner of Black Castle Vineyard which is a small vineyard in the native country of his father-in-law.
