Dr. Cheree Schwartzenburg
Dr. Cheree Schwartzenburg Arabie is a Baton Rouge native who is the daughter of Dr. Clifford and Kathy Schwartzenburg. She is a 1994 graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy who received her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in Biochemistry with a minor in French. Dr. Cheree spent 8 years in Shreveport completing her medical degree and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology before returning home as a Board Certified OB-Gyn and joining this practice in 2006. She enjoys a full-time practice affiliated with Woman’s Hospital where she has served in various leadership positions including Chief of Obstetrics and Chief of Staff. Dr. Cheree is currently serving as a member of the Woman’s Hospital Board of Directors. She loves both the gynecologic and obstetric areas of her practice which allow her to develop lifelong relationships with her patients. She cares for patients from their adolescent and young adult years, through the child-bearing window, and then into the pre and post menopausal times.
At home she is fortunate to have a “Superstar” husband, Randy Arabie, who helps juggle their three children- Hayes, Hampton, and Colette- with her busy schedule along with local grandparent support. Their family is very active at Our Lady of Mercy where they attend church and her children attend school. Together, you will find them following all LSU athletic events (especially football!), traveling to the beach or mountains, or "playing" in the dirt in the back yard with their vegetable and flower garden.
