Dr. Kristin Chapman is a proud native of Baton Rouge and is happy to be home once again! Dr. Chapman graduated from Saint Joseph's Academy in 1995, then attended The College of Charleston in South Carolina. Dr. Chapman earned a Bachelor in Arts in French and spent one year abroad in France. She then returned to LSU in Baton Rouge to complete a Bachelor in Science followed by medical school at LSU in New Orleans. Dr. Chapman then performed her residency at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas and served as Chief Resident prior to graduating. Dr. Chapman is now Board certified through the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has loved working with the Doctors Schwartzenburg, Lafranca, and Guidry and is looking forward to practicing in a beautiful new hospital and office.

Dr. Chapman enjoys all realms of women's health care including individualized plans for pregnancy and childbirth. Dr. Chapman encourages the use of natural comfort measures for her patients that prefer non-medicated births including walking, intermittent monitoring, labor tubs, and a light diet. She also accommodates patients who prefer scheduled deliveries. Dr. Chapman also has a particular interest in Infertility, as well as counseling, testing, and treatment for Infertility. She is very knowledgeable about the transitions during menopause and prescribes hormone replacement therapy for menopausal symptoms as well as alternative treatments. Dr. Chapman is skilled with the newest technology available for surgeries such as Robotic Surgery and Endometrial Ablations. Dr. Chapman would be happy to visit with you and customize your care!
